things to do in Niagara Falls

It’s officially the beginning of the Summer and you may be looking for inexpensive, fun things to do in Niagara Falls for Canada Day for you and the whole family. The Niagara Falls is definitely one of Canada’s biggest draws, but on Canada Day the city sees thousands and thousands of sight-seers and travelers from all over Canada and across the world because of its variety of things to do in Niagara Falls on Canada Day weekend. There really is no better place to celebrate Canada’s birthday than in a city full of historic significance that gives meaning to Canada’s patriotism. This year, on Canada’s 146th birthday, there is a wide variety of activities, events and fun things to do in Niagara Falls…and the cost? This is all free s*#t!

Let’s start with accommodations. This isn’t free, but it is cheap. You are going to need a family-friendly hotel to stay at, and one with inexpensive rates close to all amenities and main attractions so that transportation to and from these many events is limited and in some cases, not required at all! That place is the one voted the Travelers Choice award for Family Hotels on Trip Advisor, the Clifton Hill Niagara Falls Hotel. Located right on the “Street of Fun by the Falls” and the main centre of all the action, this hotel is on Clifton Hill, just a 5 minute walk to the Niagara Falls. Walk out the lobby and you are met with a lively family-friendly atmosphere with a steam-erupting volcano and dinosaur sounds from the Dinosaur Adventure Golf and one of the biggest draws of them all, North America’s tallest ferris wheel that gives you a spectacular view of the Falls, the 175 foot Niagara Skywheel. Heading down Clifton Hill you will come across all of Niagara Falls main attractions that are also included in the Clifton Hill Fun Pass, one of the most popular things to do in Niagara Falls for family fun packages. If you are looking for free s*#t, buy it online and you will get another bonus admission to the Niagara Skywheel…just for purchasing it online! The Clifton Hill Niagara Falls Hotel is also the only hotel that allows you to build your own package add-ons online with the additional tickets of the items that you choose to do during your stay conveniently waiting for you at check-in, with the Build-A-Package option. Everything for the risk-taker (Niagara Helicopter discounts), the adrenaline-seeker (Nightmares Fear Factory discounts!) to the wine-lover (Winery tours!) and, of course, the family fun seeker with the Niagara Adventure Pass, Greg Frewin Theatre, Marineland tickets and so many more tickets for incredible discounts!
