Niagara Falls Tourism Announces the Launch of a New Blog Featuring “Mr. Niagara”
Niagara Falls Tourism’s new and improved Blog sees Niagara through the eyes of expert George Bailey
Niagara Falls, Ontario (PRWEB) October 21, 2008 — Niagara Falls is a romantic and thrilling destination. Some people, like Niagara native George Bailey, might even say it’s magical. Endearingly referred to as “Mr. Niagara,” George Bailey is soon to be the personality behind Niagara Falls Tourism’s new Blog.
Slated to launch on October 21,2008, the new and improved Niagara Falls Tourism Blog will offer readers a peak into the vast history and culture of one of the most popular destination points in Canada, like no book or information package can. With “Mr. Niagara” at the helm, the Niagara Falls Tourism Blog will also feature a personal point of view.
We want the Blog to engage visitors and provoke conversation, and there’s nothing more engaging that
dramatic and quirky stories of Niagara history and events.
Bailey’s father served as Captain of the famous Maid of the Mist, and in some sense, he grew up on the famous ship, surrounded by the majesty of the Falls. Now 64 years old, Bailey’s stories about Niagara Falls abound. He has worked for the Niagara Parks Commission, Niagara Falls Sheraton Hotel and Skylon Tower, and Bailey has led countless celebrities on tours of the Falls–and has animated stories to tell about them, including Princess Diana’s 1991 visit.
In addition to working on his sixth guidebook about Niagara Falls and his upcoming Niagara Falls Tourism debut, Bailey has published articles and has been interviewed at the consummate Niagara expert on high-profile programs such as CNN, Live with Regis and Kathie Lee, Discovery Channel, Canada AM and Good Morning America.
According to Niagara Falls Tourism’s Executive Director, Anna Pierce, “We want the Blog to engage visitors and provoke conversation, and there’s nothing more engaging that “Mr. Niagara’s” dramatic and quirky stories of Niagara history and events.”
